ABOUT GURGUR INSTITUTE
SUMMARY
The Gurgur Institute for Change (GI) is a consultancy and research firm platform for change which focus on digital and communication strategies, media transformation and research for development. The GI is an expert running and non-governmental organization based in Garowe which is registered by the Ministry of Planning, Economic development, and International Cooperation of Puntland State of Somalia (LICENSE NO. 000268). We have group of experts from the different areas of the communication and research fields to deliver our services and implement the organization’s vision, mission, strategies, programs and the ultimate goal on social change to assure peaceful and stable Somalia.
The group of experts was decided to stablish and register the Gurgur Institute for change (GI) on 1st December 2022.
The idea behind the establishment of the Gurgur Institute for Change (GI) has become after increasing as a rocket of misinformation, disinformation and hate speech and lack of effectiveness of communication and awareness activities going on the ground due to dishonesty and poor commitment.

The Gurgur Institute for Change (GI) brings consultancy services on communication strategies, approaches, policies, and research for impact programms for organizations including private sector, academia, media and CSOs, government institutions and their local and international stakeholders
